At last Jen is freeee
Yes it’s been a long week all in all without Jen but today was her final day of training and that means she starts her job properly on Monday. She is over the moon as she has been bored ridged the last few days reading policies and watching videos on fire safety or manual handling, hmmm I’m not sure manual handling could be that bad or am I thinking about another movie 
Anyhow she came out tonight and let me know that her hours are gonna be Monday, Tuesday and wednesday 8 - 4 which is more hours than she wanted to do as she only wanted to do 20 hours but she said she didn’t mind doing 24 just to see how things go. She really likes it there now and can’t wait to get into the routine of the three day weeks. Its gonna be a bit of a shocker for her as she doesn’t like getting up early but she won’t mind too much once she is used to it and the best thing is that she has 4 days off out of 7 which she likes the idea of. In a way I am kinda jealous wishing I could get a job too but my health is up the swanny and with having to retake my driving test I don’t even know if I will have a license for much longer so I am rapidly becoming unemployable 
oh well at least belle would employ me if only to get her smarties and occasionally refill her cup or wipe her butt
I haven’t done much today really just worn out after all the cleaning yesterday so I just managed a couple of loads of laundry and a little tidying round after a manic 2 and a bit year old 
I will give it conceted effort to finish off the rest of the cleaning a go over the weekend as we don’t have much planned apart from a trip to a car boot and some xmas wrapping.
We are all off to Warwick tomorrow for a little mooch around the shops and just go for a little walk to stretch the old legs Just hope that the weather is gonna be better than it was today I honestly don’t think that dawn broke all day it was more overcast than my mood of late But the weekend begins tomorrow so thats gotta be a good thing doesn’t it. My specialism is moving and handling and training, writing and managing this as well as bariatric and back care, so I agree with Jen, super boring lol
So what's Jen going to be doing?
I think you achieved a lot today. Your daughter will benefit with you looking after her, she will be able to learn to be a caring child, teenager and adult. She will be calmer and more laid back and appriciate the good days.
I can't drive and have to say that getting buses is ok and most bus drivers are very caring. If you get a letter from your Dr, take it to your local council with I think 2 pasport photo's and you can get free buses after 9am all over the country or 20% of rail travel.
I use this all the time and we are luckier that all London buses are free for school children. We often get a bus 2 stops if I'm having a bad day and I no longer have to wait in the cold and rain for 1 bus I can get a couple and still get to work.
I have had to change my working hours to 9.30 to 5.30 but thats not too bad and its much easier getting on a bus than in the car.

Jen has been a carer before in america but when she came over here she was a housekeeper (cleaner) but she used to work in a laundry over in the states and so is gonna be based in the laundry over at the care home but she is gonna be helping out with everything else too.
I just want belle to be happy and give her everything I can to make sure she stays like that.
Wow thanks for the info about the doctors note that will get me free travel, I know that buses etc are pretty good but I just cant walk to the bus stops half the time my legs hurt so much I cant even do that.
I do have a blue badge and I am so grateful for that as it helps me to park close to the entrances to places so I dont have to walk too far.

Hope Jen gets into the rythym of work ok and that you enjoy being home with Belle - for what it's worth, you sound like a really great Dad to me. All kids really want is time and you give Belle that.

Glad Jens training is over..that must have been proper boring for her! At least now she can get on with it as to say..
And stop putting yourself down will ya!The job you do by looking after Belle is a job that many Dad's would kill for! Not the arse wiping bit but the spending time bit.. And the driving test will go fine...Stay positive..and leave the bad habits at home..all will be good hun
