today was Jens birthday and it has been a nice day all in all I know it wasnt as special as I would have liked to have made it but I will treat her later on in the year. I got some cards off myself and Belle and my aunt sent her a birthday card too. I woke her up late as she had been tired and her aching leg has been worrying her alot so I left her to sleep even after her earlish night last night. I got a coffee and brought it into her but she was already awake so i wished her a happy birthday and went to collect belle who had already eaten her breakfast and been sitting watching TV for a while. I brought belle in and gave her the cards to give to her mommy along with a sweet little box that jen had fallen in love with on the mohawk trail.
After opening the cards and all Jen got up and I made the bed with belles assistance she is already trying her best to help out by lifting the pillows off the floor so I can finish making the bed she is sooo sweet really. We had nothing planned for the day so we just relaxed a little until Jodi came over to wish her sis a happy birthday before she went off to work Jen said it was the first time in 32 years that she has bothered but I think there were alternative motives as Jodi wanted Jen to put some stuff on EBay for her hehe it was still nice though and she gave jen a card to allow her to tinker on Itunes and some flowers and a card too so Jen was happy enough hehe. I will get Jen something nice when we go to boston next week for a day or two.
I made tea it was only something simple hehe lets face it, It would have to be simple for me to be able to cook it hehe but seriously we just had some chicken kievs and potatos with some peas it was ok and made a big difference from pizza we are all a bit pizza'd out lately it feels like we have had them alot lately so we have made a vow to steer clear of it for the next week or two and make a start on getting through the food we have in our cupboards etc.
Jen was saying that she wants to get out of here now and head back to the UK I explained that two months today will be our last in the US as we will be heading home the next day hehe she really cant wait and neither can I :)
We are off out tomorrow to get a few bits and bobs to see us over the easter weekend its bizarre as they dont really celebrate good friday over here and everything is open all day so we might go and have a mooch round the shops as we have been stuck inside for the last few days and we dont want to go stir crazy!
